Engaging the Civic community with hard to reach groups

Abstract
This presentation will look at the practice of engaging with Children in Public Care. The University of Bradford takes a multi-layer and multi agency approach to such engagement and this workshop will look at a case study of one such engagement. The work with this group took a multi agency and multi layer approach by engaging both at strategic and operational levels simultaneously to provide opportunities for this group to be supported in their educational journey. The groups worked with included Schools, Colleges, Education Departments, Social Services and the young people's carers. This presentation will share our experiences and practice.
