Education for Active Citizenship: Essential Learning

Abstract
Sister Stan Kennedy will offer a Keynote address on the theme of “Education for Active Citizenship: Essential Learning for Life”, that will explore her personal perspectives on the underpinning philosophies that has guided her work as a social innovator and agent of change within the context of Ireland. She has been responsible for the development of a range of essential services to support diverse people and groups Ireland since the 1970’s in Ireland including the Kilkenny Social Services and the National Federation of Youth Clubs, CARE, Focus Ireland, Social Innovations Ireland, the Immigrant Council of Ireland and Young Social Innovators to name just a few.
