Civic Engagement as a Source of Resilience, Social Support and Coping in Higher Education in Ireland

Abstract
This presentation focuses on the connection between in Resilience building and social support enhancement in students in Higher Education as a result of active citizenship and civic engagement. In addition the assumption that older adolescence are in the clear in terms of stress and coping is challenged with civic engagement in higher education forwarded as a mechanism for coping and support enlistment.
